The School Life

School a close world, a bubble filled with dreams, aspirations, desire and drive. We the student are the soul to this world but we are also the mud, that are molded, beaten and heated into a pot, into something resourceful by the teachers, the gurus. The competition, the academics and the co-curricular activities is something that exists as the base of this world. This journey starts with the day you speak your first word and it gets hard, more competitive and more inspiring with time. Starting from to play school to kindergarten to primary school to high school, this journey brings a lot of experience and a lot of drama.

It all starts with sunrise you wake up all groggy and weird stressing on that you don’t want to go and with that feeling you get out of the bed. Well for the start everyone has their own routine; mine is have milk, get fresh, get ready and step out of the house, well I walk to school so I get an excuse for not going on a morning walk. We meet our friends we share some views and some gossip and the first bell rings, teachers come to the class and latecomers get punished (usually me). After the bell the journey towards success start and our friends become our competitors because success has limited space and the candidates are more. But with this the class is divided in three portions:

1) The first benchers

2) The middle benchers

3) The last benchers

Each one of the division has their own quality starting from the first, the serious ones and also the failures who are forced to sit there. These people are focused on education like a horse is focused on the road, they don’t see left or right neither they ask many question they just keep walking to success. They don’t realize there are more aspects to life than achieving the best stuff that is out there. They score the highest but they still envy the middle and the last benchers because one lives and the other just doesn’t care about any rules.

The middle benchers or should I say the competitors because it doesn’t matter what competition is there they will take part in every one of them. But they are also able to score excellent and surprisingly they have the attitude which is suitable to be a teacher’s favorite student. They don’t have a habit of being in the class, they can’t be all about syllabus and they want more in basis of experience and practical knowledge. But they do envy the first benchers as they are more knowledgeable, well not completely because failures are also there.

At the end sits the last benchers or the cool kids as they play, they party, they bunk and they have all the gossip. Rest two categories might get recognized by the teachers but they are the ones who are remembered. Mischiefs and breaking rules is the forte of the last benchers and honestly they don’t even need the benches, they just keep going when they are standing in the corridor because of the punishment. They do envy the positive recognition the middle benchers get and the grades the first benchers get.

Fun fact is every single division has their own unique way of living a school life but they still do envy each other but this what keeps the bond and makes them learn from each other. What matters the most in a student’s life is the bond there class share, when one makes mistake the whole class gets punished. With this come more drama as friends are chosen to hang out with and groups are made and those who get cozier well they start their own love story. This leads to dark secrets as some groups get productive and progressive whereas other groups get into the influence of alcohol and drugs. New pairs are made and old pairs may end which brings fights, jealousy and heartbreaks but that’s how teenagers are and that’s how we grow. Well these are the insights of a student’s life.

Then enters the biggest enemy of a student’s life and that is their exams. This is the time where school evaluates what students have learn and assumes that those who score great are the future and rest are just the waste so they push them to do better not realizing that they already are as some understand life more and some understand theory. Schooling is the time when it’s too early to know if a student is a failure or the future but sometimes school doesn’t get it and on PTM’s this thought is passed on to parents. Those parents who understand their child’s capabilities they get them to grow and those who don’t well their children are just unlucky. But that’s how a school life is a bit dramatic, a bit crazy and a lot more creative.
